Matthias Eilenbrock completed his studies in tax law at the former University of Finance in Nordkirchen from 2006 to 2009 and has since been working as a Diplom-Finanzwirt in the North Rhine-Westphalia Tax Administration. He quickly specialized in the emerging field of data analysis. As a Data Scientist with the State Office for Combating Financial Crime (LBF NRW), he has been instrumental in implementing Power BI across the NRW tax administration and other German states. His work, which has been recognized multiple times by the State of NRW, includes supporting tax audits and criminal tax investigations through the analysis of computer systems and specialized business software. Matthias Eilenbrock also serves as a lecturer in Business Intelligence, data analysis, and artificial intelligence at the Federal Finance Academy. His expertise has attracted international attention, leading to numerous invitations as a guest speaker from international institutions and authorities, including the Dutch tax administration. Since 2022, he has been developing AUDIPY in a personal capacity, incorporating his experience and expertise to make data analysis with cutting-edge technology accessible to less experienced users within and outside the tax administration.
